Eugene D. Tenaglia

Eugene D. Tenaglia, age 91, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully with his family by his side in his home on April 14, 2021.

Born on January 21, 1930 in Slovan, He was the son of the late Alice and Gerald E. Tenaglia Sr.

He was the beloved husband to Phoebe Aspinall Tenaglia for over 66 years; dear brother of  Marian (the late Hilary)Lynch and the late Gerald E. (Surviving: Audrey) Tenaglia; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Eugene served as a Navy Quartermaster on the USS Jarvis in the Korean Conflict. After his service he worked as the Washington County Bridge Engineer. Eugene enjoyed traveling with his wife in his spare time, whether it was to Virginia or to Florida.

Due to COVID restrictions, family members will have a service at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military honors on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Burgettstown Community Library, 2 Kerr St., Burgettstown, PA 15021, 724-947-9780.

Many years ago, Eugene was a loyal and devoted friend to my Father Michael Flynn and for that I will always be grateful. My deepest sympathy to, the love of his life, Phoebe and the entire Tenaglia family and may God bless him and welcome him home.
