Frances Hicks

Frances “Fran” Hicks, age 88, of Beaver, formerly of Lewisburg, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026.

Born on April 1, 1937, in Huntingdon, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Phyllis Eagan. Fran was the beloved wife of the late Donald H. Hicks.

Fran was a woman of warmth, kindness, and quiet grace. She found great joy in her community and was an active and proud member of the Beaver Women’s Club for many years, where she formed lasting friendships and contributed her time and talents.

An ardent animal lover, Fran had a special place in her heart for dogs, and her compassion for animals was evident to all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving sisters, Patricia Vollmer of Vienna, VA, and Maureen Majewski of East Aurora, NY, along with extended family and friends who will cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kim Eagan Woods.

Fran will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her devotion to those she loved, and the kindness she shared so freely with others.
