He trained customers’ personnel in maintenance and quality assurance issues to assure the continued long-term performance of their equipment. Prior to founding Environmental Consultants & Services, Inc. in 1994, Frank had been involved with the development and operation of several service departments, most notably with KVB as the Eastern Regional Service Manager, and with Wheelabrator Clean Air Groups / Altech Systems Division as National Service Manager, both leading CEM suppliers. Frank’s experience spanned the spectrum of installations and certifications of systems including utility, Cement, co-generation, municipal solid waste, hospital waste, hazardous waste and petroleum plants. He held positions on the Board of Directors for both Hog Heaven Rescue Farm and Tri-State Christian Academy. In addition, he held many positions at both Hickory United Evangelical Presbyterian Church and Cross Creek Church.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his sister Joyce. Surviving in addition to his wife, Sherry (Hannah) Strnisa, are his sons, Joshua and his wife Ashley; Zachary and his wife Lexus and Scott and his wife Victoria; six grandchildren, Hannah, Zechariah, Elsie, Luke, Caleb and Levi; two brothers Ron (Lori) Strnisa, Chris (Lisa) Strnisa; and many nieces and nephews.

Frank and Sherry shared a wonderful 38 years of marriage, no one could have known a chance meeting on a bus ride would turn into a life full of adventures and memories. They worked side by side building a family, a business, a farm, their faith, and countless things in between. To his sons, he was a tender warrior and encouraged his sons to be as well, sharing a special bond with each. Joshua and Frank enjoyed solving the world’s problems, Zachary and Frank always spent time together working on farm equipment while Scott and Frank always enjoyed football and the farm life. Frank loved all three daughters-in-law like they were his own. His most cherished titles were Bapa, Bops, Boppy, Chopped Liver, Papa and Dr. Bapa. He enjoyed singing silly songs, making funny faces, playing dinosaurs and Barbie’s, and most importantly making sure all his grandchildren knew they were loved. His legacy will live on through them.

To the Youth Groups over the years, he was known as Uncle Frank. In 2012, Frank helped start Upwards Basketball at the church which has now grown to over 100 players who not only play with passion but a purpose.

Words can’t even express the sadness we feel for the whole Strnisa family. We are sad for them (and us) but happy for Frank because now he is in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, living with Him forever without any pain, sorrow, tears, or cares of this world. Frank lived his life with eternity in mind, storing up for himself treasures in Heaven. Frank loved and cared for people with an incredible passion, and he lived what the Bible teaches. He is an example for us because he followed Jesus. He is more alive now than ever before! We love you, Franko, and we will see you soon.
