Frank Vincent Fischetti, Jr., 74, of Verona, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on September 23, 1951, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Frank was the beloved son of the late Frank Vincent Fischetti Sr. and Philomena Fischetti. He lived a life defined by kindness, humility, hard work, and devotion to his family, friends, students, and community.
A graduate of Penn Hills Senior High School, Frank earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Edinboro University and later completed his principal certification through Point Park University. He dedicated 38 years to the Penn Hills School District, first, as a high school English teacher, and later, as Assistant Ninth Grade Principal. He also served as head coach of the freshman football team and girls’ track coach at Linton Middle School. Frank loved teaching, and throughout the decades, his students returned that love many times over. Outside of education, Frank was a lifelong musician who played in many bands over the years. Frank’s love of music lasted his entire life, and no band held a more special place in his heart than The Beatles. He found joy in music, laughter, and time spent with those he loved. Above all else, Frank cherished his role as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Fischetti; his children, Tessa Cope (Brian) and their son, Vincent, Gina Marinzel (Andrew), and Frank A. Fischetti; his brothers, John Fischetti (Karen), Louis Fischetti (Elizabeth), and Joseph Fischetti (Michelle); and his nieces and nephew, Lauren Sinacola and family, Jenna Blackwell and family, Joseph Fischetti, Lia Fischetti, and Malena Fischetti.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Irenaeus Church, 387 Maryland Ave, Oakmont, PA 15139, followed by a procession to Mt. Carmel Cemetery. A luncheon for close family and friends will follow at Hoffstot’s Café Monaco in Oakmont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frank’s honor to the GO2 for Lung Cancer Foundation or the PSP & CBD Foundation.

Frank lived his life believing in kindness, perseverance, and love. He taught us that life isn’t meant to be rushed, that people deserve our time and our patience, and that doing things with care matters. Though our time with him was never long enough, the love he gave and the memories he created will remain with us always.

My husband Joe and Frank became friends in high school, a friendship that grew into a lifelong bond. Over the years, they stayed in touch and looked forward to spending time together whenever we visited from New Jersey. I will always remember their laughter, the stories they shared, and the genuine warmth of their friendship. Frank’s presence touched many lives, and he will be greatly missed. During this time of sorrow, we hope that the cherished memories you shared and the love of family and friends bring you comfort and peace. We like to think that Joe and Frank are together once again, reminiscing, laughing, and catching up just as they did through the years. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Dear Fischetti Family, I am so sadden to hear of Mr. Fischetti's passing. Mr. Fischetti was my 9th grade English teacher at Linton. I still remember one of his assignments: to write and deliver a speech that demonstrated how to perform a task. I chose to explain how to tie a necktie. It’s a small memory that has stayed with me for many years. He was simply the best teacher...always smiling, thoughtful and funny. My mom grew up in the same neighborhood, and he my family well. At the end of my 9th grade year, my uncle passed away. During that difficult time, Mr. Fischetti’s compassion and support left a lasting impression on me. He was the kind of teacher who cared deeply about his students, both inside and outside the classroom. May he rest in peace, knowing that the community he dedicated his life to remembers him with great affection, gratitude, and respect. His impact will not be forgotten.

I remember Frank Growing up. He and his family where good friends of the Joe Cerniglia Sr family. He was a great 9th grade football coach and teacher that the kids loved. He will truely be missed. He will wipe every tear from their eyewas seated on the throne sawho s. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things passed away. I had the honor of knowing Frank as a student at Penn Hills and as a colleague (of sorts) later in life when I briefly worked for the school district. His positive energy was infectious. You were hard pressed to find him without a smile on his face. You had his full attention and engagement when you spoke with him. It was very easy to tell that he had a genuine care for everyone he spoke with. He will be missed by anyone who had the pleasure to make his acquaintance.
