Frank Vincent Fischetti, Jr., 74, of Verona, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on September 23, 1951, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Frank was the beloved son of the late Frank Vincent Fischetti Sr. and Philomena Fischetti. He lived a life defined by kindness, humility, hard work, and devotion to his family, friends, students, and community.
A graduate of Penn Hills Senior High School, Frank earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Edinboro University and later completed his principal certification through Point Park University. He dedicated 38 years to the Penn Hills School District, first, as a high school English teacher, and later, as Assistant Ninth Grade Principal. He also served as head coach of the freshman football team and girls’ track coach at Linton Middle School. Frank loved teaching, and throughout the decades, his students returned that love many times over. Outside of education, Frank was a lifelong musician who played in many bands over the years. Frank’s love of music lasted his entire life, and no band held a more special place in his heart than The Beatles. He found joy in music, laughter, and time spent with those he loved. Above all else, Frank cherished his role as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Frank is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Fischetti; his children, Tessa Cope (Brian) and their son, Vincent, Gina Marinzel (Andrew), and Frank A. Fischetti; his brothers, John Fischetti (Karen), Louis Fischetti (Elizabeth), and Joseph Fischetti (Michelle); and his nieces and nephew, Lauren Sinacola and family, Jenna Blackwell and family, Joseph Fischetti, Lia Fischetti, and Malena Fischetti.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Irenaeus Church, 387 Maryland Ave, Oakmont, PA 15139, followed by a procession to Mt. Carmel Cemetery. A luncheon for close family and friends will follow at Hoffstot’s CafĂ© Monaco in Oakmont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frank’s honor to the GO2 for Lung Cancer Foundation or the PSP & CBD Foundation.

Frank lived his life believing in kindness, perseverance, and love. He taught us that life isn’t meant to be rushed, that people deserve our time and our patience, and that doing things with care matters. Though our time with him was never long enough, the love he gave and the memories he created will remain with us always.
Dad, thank you for taking our sad songs and making them better.

The world will miss Frank and the emphatic qualities he brought to those around him. I met Frank in the fall of 1969 as fraternity pledging began. Immediately his gifts of friendliness, smiles and relaxed nature enveloped me and others. Testaments and condolences from others reveal his impact upon this needy world; students that needed compassion, family that appreciated and recognized his musical talents, and ability to welcome old friends with a smile. Frank attended my wedding in 1973 and his presence demonstrated that love he projected to all who shared his life during the four college years. Frank, may the Almighty Creator hold you in in his arms and place you upon the eternal stage with a guitar in your hands and a loving tune sent to all. Frater, Ray Dietz P.S. Frank was one of my wife Suzanne's Sunday Mass Church buddies at the Newman Center at Edinboro.

Dear Entire Fischetti family, I am sorry for your loss. My mind is flooded with so many beautiful memories of growing up with all of you,my extended family. I was the only girl in the group,Louis and I were partners in crime until Joe was old enough to join us. I felt so much love from Aunt Babe and Uncle Frank.I loved watching Frankie and his band practice in the garage, even though I was much younger,he always was so kind to me He came to my wedding and on his way back home he noticed that I was locked out of my parents house, made a call to get the keys for us. What really touches my heart is the fact that when I had to come back to Pittsburgh for my Dad, Mom and Aunt's funerals, Frankie came to each one to pay his respects. I was so honored. You were much too young to break on through to the other side. I pray that your family continues to feel your presence Here,There and Everywhere.

"Mr. Fischetti" was my 7th grade English teacher at Seneca in the earliest years of his career, and his band played at one of our school dances -- "Evil Woman" is the song I still remember them playing. I spent my whole school career in Penn Hills and he was a stand-out. I don't remember much about what we learned in his class, but during those horribly awkward junior high years his overflowing enthusiasm made everyone feel seen and as if they mattered. I never saw a frown on his face. My sincere condolences to those of you who had the privilege of knowing him as family. His loss is too, too soon.
