Freddie Friend, age 62 of Pittsburgh, PA formerly of Deep Creek, MD passed away at his home surrounded by family and his three dogs on Tuesday, December 3, 2019. Born on October 1, 1957, he was the son of Frederick and the late Lulubelle Friend. Beloved husband to Gail Friend. Loving father to Stephanie Marie and Tatum Grace Friend. Cherished brother to Alan Friend. He will also be dearly missed by his uncle who was like another father to him, Bill Rice and his wife Peg. Freddie was also survived by many loving uncles, aunts and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother Clifford Friend, his beloved son Bobby Friend, his loving in laws Bobby and Donna Porter.

Freddie will be deeply missed by his fur babies, Diesel, Turbo, and Benson who brought him so much happiness and laughter.

Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 2 PM – 4 PM and 6 PM – 8 PM at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15136. Additional visitation will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 12 PM until the time of service at 2 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friend family.

Freddie was a wonderful guy who was calm and loving to everyone. He cared about his wife and kids an insane amount, and I’ll always have the upmost respect for him. Rest in piece big guy.
