George Drandakis

George Drandakis 95, fell asleep in the Lord on February 12 2021.  He is preceded in death by his parents Emmanuel and Margaret (Thornburg), his beloved wife of 43 years Deanne (Megaludis) and his beloved brothers Nicholas and James. He is survived by two sons Barry and Ronald, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

George was born in Weirton West Virginia and lived in Oakdale PA.  He worked as a crane operator at US Steel retiring at age 58. George loved to work with his hands and built his own home. George had a keen sense of humor, loved politics, and relished getting involved in spirited debates. He enjoyed dancing and traveling throughout the country with his wife Deanne. He was a member of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Mt. Lebanon and loved his faith and his Lord and Savior.

Visitation at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Mt. Lebanon at 10AM and Funeral to begin 11AM on February 17, 2021. Interment at Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
