George Louis Vetterly, 59, of Avalon, PA, passed away on January 8, 2025. Born on May 30, 1965, to Dianna Francis Vetterly (deceased) and John Raymond Vetterly Sr., George was a man defined by his service, dedication, and love for his family.

A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, George spent his entire adult life serving others. He was a dedicated volunteer firefighter, offering his time, skills, and courage to protect his community. George’s commitment to service extended to his family as well, where he was a devoted father to his children, Jenna Marie Vetterly and Michael Thomas Vetterly, and a proud grandfather to his two grandsons, Mason Daniel Bosi and Jayce Daniel Vetterly. His love for his family was unwavering, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

George was one of seven siblings and was deeply loved by his family, including his father, John Raymond Vetterly Sr., who survives him, and his brothers and sisters. Despite the challenges life presented, George maintained close and meaningful relationships with those who mattered most to him.

While not married, George maintained a special relationship with his ex-wife, Tracy D’Amico, with whom he remained close and continued to share a bond built on mutual respect and care. He also leaves behind his longtime girlfriend, Lisa Alioto, who brought him love and companionship in his later years.

George’s legacy of service, his caring nature, and his deep love for his children and grandchildren will never be forgotten. He was a strong, caring, and loyal man who left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. His memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to have him in their lives.

A Celebration of George’s life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 beginning at 12:00 pm, at Hampton Volunteer Fire Hall, 5149 North Pioneer Road, Gibsonia, PA 15044. Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, Robinson Township, PA.

He will be dearly missed, but forever remembered in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
