Gerald L. Hopkins

Gerald L. Hopkins, born September 14, 1938, passed away on November 20, 2022.

Jerry was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Metz) Hopkins for 15 years; father of Brett (JoAnn) Hopkins, Tracy (Leah) Hopkins, Connie Grob, and stepfather of Robert O’Brien; brother of the late Carolyn Hopkins and Marilyn Van Avery; granddaughter (Amanda), grandson (Jed), granddaughter (Sierra), great-grandchildren (Giavana) (Chase), great-great-grandchild (Annalyse) and survived by several nieces and nephews.

Jerry was born in Canajoharie, NY, and graduated from Canajoharie High School in 1956. He served three years (1958-61) in the US Army as a helicopter mechanic and crew chief in the southern US and Germany. He and his wife moved to Carnegie, PA, in September 2010. He was a long-time lover of photography, reading, car racing, and aviation.
