Gerie R. Wyler

Gerie R. Wyler, age 73, of Oakdale, PA and formerly of Carrick, PA went to be with the Lord, at home and surrounded by her family on Friday, December 23, 2022. Beloved wife of 45 years to Fred E. Wyler; loving mother of Kathleen (Justin) Guzel; cherished grandmother of Carter Guzel; daughter of the late Harold and Helen Bell; dear sister of Jackie (the late Phil) Heckman, Mimi (Douglas) McVay, Janine (David) Blaha, Jo Freeman, and the late Cathie (Nick) Schlotman; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Gerie cherished the time she spent with her grandson, Carter, observing him play video games, watching scary movies together, and reading to him when he was little. Gerie and Carter also loved their dinners at their favorite restaurant, Red Lobster.

She had a true love of children working at Little Hearts Learning Center and various other daycares.

Gerie loved spending time with her sisters and traveling to Florida. She had a passion for shopping and buying gifts for loved ones.

She was a kind, loving, giving and gentle soul with a beautiful heart. She will be truly missed by all of her family and friends.

Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 4:00-8:00pm at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care 5405 Steubenville Pike Robinson Township, PA 15136. Please meet at the church on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 10:00am for a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Church 5718 Steubenville Pike Robinson Township, PA 15136. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Suite, 1B 5150 Centre Avenue Pittsburgh, PA 15232 or at hillman.upmc.com.
