Gloria W. Botsford, 92, of Stuart, Florida
On September 5, 2024, God decided it was time for Gloria to join her loving husband, Glenn, in Heaven.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Gloria moved to Miami Beach, Florida at age 12 where she embraced the vibrant beach lifestyle. She attended the University of Florida where she met her true love and husband of 64 years.
In the early years of their marriage, Gloria enjoyed camping, boating, playing cards and board games (sometimes with a bit of friendly cheating), and vacationing across the country with her three children: daughter Dawn Botsford, Esq., daughter Dr. Dana Falappi (Mark), and son Glenn Botsford (Susan). Gloria was truly kind and thoughtful, always eager to help others in need. As her children grew, she loved opening her home to their friends, making them laugh and feel comfortable with her quick wit, welcoming smile, and teasing nature. It’s hard to count how many people affectionately called her “Mom”, but it was WAY more than three! Even at her later age she was open to meeting new people and enjoyed her new friends at her retirement resort.
Renowned for her love of Christmas, Gloria delighted in her beautifully decorated home and Christmas trees. She especially cherished spending the holiday season with her grandchildren: Stephanie, Marci, Bryce, and Blake, and her great granddaughter, Haydin.
Throughout the years Gloria was a substitute high school teacher, earned her degree from Barry University, was an active athletic booster, and worked as a banker where her leadership skills ultimately rose her to the position of Regional Manager. Upon retirement, her passion for travel flourished and she became a cruise travel agent. Her travel adventures took her and Glenn across the globe, visiting places like China, Spain, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, Nova Scotia, Switzerland, France, Germany, Hawaii, the Caribbean Islands, Mexico, Russia, and the Netherlands, among many others.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Gloria has been called by God to Heaven, where she has now embarked on her eternal journey with her beloved husband and their infant son Blake in God’s Kingdom.

Per Gloria’s specific wishes, there is no planned funeral or memorial service. Please feel free to celebrate her life and honor her in whatever manner you feel appropriate.

Gloria was like a second mom to a lot of us from Texas. She was a special lady who always made you feel welcome regardless of any situation. I will miss her…
