Gunther J. Kaier age 79 of Bethel Park formerly of McMurray passed away peacefully on January 22, 2018.

Born on April 23, 1938 in Villach, Austria he was the son of the late Johanna and Johann Kaier.

Beloved husband of Charlene Kaier for 41 years; loving father of Jeff (Tracy) Kaier, Greg (Sherry) Kaier and Natalie Larson; cherished grandfather of Hanna, Jeremy, Gillian and Alec; dear brother of Monika Ziegler;  and uncle of Ute and Peter.

Gunther loved to ski and drive fast.  He also enjoyed bowling and playing tennis.

He was the proprietor of Gunther J. Kaier Architects Inc.  He was self employed from 1977 until retirement.

Family and friends are welcome Friday, January 26, 2018 from 3 pm until the time of service at 7pm at Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gunther’s name to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

Charlene and Family: Devastating news. Please accept the heartfelt condolences of Lois Rae and myself. We will remember him in our prayers. It is so sad to think that he won't be around anymore.
