Harry A. Snyder

Harry A. Snyder, age 96, of Castle Shannon, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 25, 2020. Born on June 19, 1924, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Henrietta Shanor and late Harry Frederich Snyder.  He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy Snyder for over 67 years; loving father of Laura (the late John) O’Brien, Harry (Diane) Snyder and Robin (Brad) Foster; cherished grandfather of Scott Conwell, Nicole O’Brien, Shauna (Brian) Bodamer, Adam (Brenna) Snyder and Kirby (Justin) Hurd; adored great-grandfather of Kendall Conwell, Grant and Drew Bodamer, Hank and Cameron Snyder and Finley Hurd; dear brother of the late William Snyder, Howard  (Anne Stahl) Snyder and Harold (Linda) Snyder.

Harry proudly served in the United States Navy and was aboard the USS Enterprise during World War II.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and he loved to sing.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A private gathering of his family will take place on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Harry’s name to Paramount Hospice and Palliative Care, 3025 Washington Road, Suite 201, McMurray, PA 15317.
