Hazel Lou Mayne

Hazel Lou Mayne, 85, of Washington, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 22, 2026. Born on August 14, 1940 in Washington, PA she is the daughter of the late John and Hazel Meeks.

Beloved wife of 64 years to Terry Mayne; Loving mother to Mya (Jeffrey) Koch and Amy (David) Verderber; Gran to Kylie Koch, Brandon Verderber, and Laura Silverthorn; Great-grandmother to Spencer, Riley, and Theodore; She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her siblings.

Hazel was a proud graduate of the Washington Hospital School of Nursing and devoted her life to caring for others. Nursing was more than a career, it was her passion, and she touched many lives with her compassion and dedication. She loved spending time with her family and cherished the moments they shared. Hazel also adored her beloved cat, Chloe, who was a source of comfort and companionship. She will be missed dearly by all those whose lives she touched.
