Helen A. Fisher age 85 of Castle Shannon, passed peacefully on June 2, 2026. Born on 08/16/1940 to the late Herman and Ann Sutterlin, she grew up in the North Side of Pittsburgh where she lived until 1965 when she married her husband of 60 years Jerry Fisher and moved to Castle Shannon

Helen lived a life of service, she was Girl Scout leader and an active member of St Anne’s Church where she was a Eucharistic minister. She also taught CCD and was a founding member of the annual St Anne’s Fair. For 37 years she was the friendly face at the Mt. Lebanon McDonald’s drive thru window, where everyone was her friend! She was known for her smile and beautiful nails that she proudly manicured herself!

Helen is survived by her husband Jerry, her three children, Shari (Dave) Sinclair, Jerry (Michelle) Fisher and Heather (Gary) Deisel. She was the proud grandmother of Jessica Sinclair (Gabe Kleinert), Joshua Sinclair, Mckenzi Sinclair (Zach Donley), Kiersten Fisher (Jesse Knight) Cameron Maselko, Lacey Fisher and Aiden Fisher. Preceded in death by her granddaughter Erika Rich. Great grandmother to Julius, Banks and Nova plus Aunt to countless nieces and nephews. Also survived by her siblings Mary Ann Fischer, William Sutterlin, Dorothy Vardzel and Lou Ann White and preceded in death by her brother Herman Sutterlin.

Services will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made In Helen’s name to Bloomfoundation.gives 111 Green Oak Lane Pittsburgh PA 15220

Donna Hofmann
Helen was a very special person in my life and a wonderful neighbor. She did so many wonderful things for me including working with Girl Scouts. Her daughter and mine played together for years. She also watched my Tracie and Robbie while she took me to the hospital for the birth of my youngest. May God bless her for what a wonderful person she was. Dear Fisher family- I am very sorry for your loss. Helen was such a bright spot in the day when stopping for coffee at McDonald’s on my way to work. We also touched base on events happening at Saint Anne church. She was a lovely person. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
