Dear Nancy and family- our sincere condolences on the loss of Herschel. He is such a rare bright light in the world, spreading happiness wherever he went. I always had a smile on my face while talking to him. He will be deeply missed by our family- including Herschel’s friend Sawyer - and everyone here in the neighborhood. Rest In Peace Herschel. God bless and comfort Nancy and family. John, Sue and Jordan Morley.

Herschel was one of the finest people I have ever known. It’s easy for people to say nice words but it is the rare person who shows up day after day to be a true friend. Herschel was one of those people. Dogs loved him as well! I have wonderful memories of he and Frankie riding through Barrington together on his scooter. You were blessed to call Herschel your friend!

I first met Herschel on the day I came to look at the house I subsequently bought across the street from Nancy & Herschel's house. He came right up to me and started talking. We formed an immediate friendship and he filled me in on the house and the neighborhood. He made me feel comfortable and I liked the house so I bought it. That was about 4 1/2 years ago and the friendship has only deepened with him & Nancy & their dog, Sylvia since then. Herschel was a warm friendly human being and I couldn't ask for better neighbors. He will be deeply missed.
