Herschel was one of the finest people I have ever known. There are plenty of people willing to provide words but not many who will come around and make their presence felt- Herschel was one of those people who showed up on a daily basis and put sunshine into your day. I have many fond memories but perhaps my favorite is he and Frankie riding through Barrington on his scooter together! We lost one of the very few good guys left in this world.

Sorry for your loss Nancy. Herschel was the first person I meet when we moved into Barrington. We spent many days talking in my garage. My grandkids loved him, he was always nice to them and would tease them. He will be very much missed and was a great neighbor.

The first time I met this man after calling him Mr Love he insisted I call him Herschel, I interpreted that to let all know he was no better or worse than any one and you always felt good after listening to him telling stories or jokes and hearing him laugh. No mean bones in that man. My good fortune to have known him. He will be missed but he’ll always be here in spirit. My Condolences.
