Hugh R. Renck, age 74, of N. Strabane formerly of Bright, Indiana passed away peacefully with family by his side on August 27, 2022.

Born on December 5, 1947, he was the son of the late Wanda and Edgar Renck.

Beloved husband of Kathy Tour Renck for 48 years; dear brother of Melanie (the late Lee) Alexander, Lawrence (Eloise) Renck, and Mary Ellen (Janice) Renck; son in law of the late Katherine Tour; brother in law of Rose (Joe) Ussia and late Nicholas Tour; also survived by many loved and cherished nieces, nephews and friends.

Hugh loved traveling, trains and history.  He was a prolific reader and a wine enthusiast. Hugh was selfless, he never met a stranger, and was always putting others in front of himself. He was a devoted North Strabane Township Sanitary Authority Board member and was the HOA President of the Indian Ridge Neighborhood.  He adored his wife, and she adored him.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are welcome on Saturday, September 3, 2022 10 am until the time of service at 11 am at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546.

Hugh will be sorely missed. He was a great friend and mentor to me for so many years. A true one of a kind gentleman with such class. I love him like family.

Hugh & Kathy weren’t just neighbors…they were neighbors that became family. Hugh loved a good party and he was a great host! He taught us all about good wine. He loved traveling and riding the trains in Europe. Kathy was his love and they were a perfect match. Hugh was kind, honest, caring, sympathetic and a true gentleman.He will be missed by so many and I will always carry him in my heart.
