Although I was not a "classroom student" of Mr. Welsh's, he taught me so much about education, teaching the "right way" & caring for students. He was truly the impetus & encouragement I needed to begin my career as a teacher nearly 20 years ago. Mr. Welsh has also been a wonderful family friend, and I know we will all miss his kindness, sincerity, and his humor (LOVE your jokes, Mr. Welsh!) May your family find peace & comfort in their beautiful memories of you!

Heartfelt condolences to Pat, J.P., Colleen and entire family during this difficult time. I met Jim 54 years ago when I was a 5th grader in Street, MD where he was starting his teaching career. His tall stature and kind soul made him friends with all who were lucky enough to meet him. Despite the many miles, many years, the only change to our friendship was growth to include our families. We will all miss him deeply but never forget him! Rest in ☮️ Jim❤️
