James Frederick Westerdale of Bridgeville, PA originally from River Rogue, MI passed away peacefully at his home under the loving care of his wife on April 27, 2021. Born on February 2, 1936, he was the eldest son of the late Leonard and Florence (Sears) Westerdale. Beloved husband to Barbara (Cranston) Westerdale for 38 years. Loving father to James (Shelley), Gary (Debbie) and Brian (Liz) Westerdale and Samantha Bailey and Jennifer (Paul) Christensen. Cherished grandfather to 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Loving brother to Norman, David, Barbara, John, Marion, and Thomas. He was preceded in death by his youngest son Scott and his siblings, Donald, Dorothy and his grandchildren, Casey, Vanessa, Brian and James.
James worked for Ford Motor Company for 31 years. He proudly served in The United States Army during the Korean War. Earned the Eagle Scout award and was a Scout Master for 5 years. During his 34-year retirement, he enjoyed drafting, remodeling houses, vintage cars, camping and most importantly, he loved traveling with his wife and spending time with family.
