James “Jim” S. Goettmann, age 66 of Canonsburg, PA passed away surrounded by family on Friday, October 27, 2017. Born on December 29, 1950, he is the son of the late Susan and Arthur Goettmann. Loving father of Neil (Jessie) Goettmann and Jamie (Justin) Fonner. Dear grandfather of  Caiden, Jacob, Abel, Luca and Ryan. Dear brother of Susan (Anthony) Compeggie, Tammy Goettmann. Loving uncle to Valerie Compeggie. Jim was predeceased in death by his brother; Gary Goettmann.

Jim loved hunting, fishing and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He proudly served in the United States Army and he was employed by the Iron Workers Local 3 for 30 years until his retirement. Jim will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his dog Tyson.

At the family’s request, all services will be held privately. Burial will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military honors. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.
