James “Jimmy” E. Petre, Jr.

James “Jimmy” E. Petre, Jr. age 53 of Peters Township, PA passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 23, 2017. Born on February 7, 1964 in Oakland, CA he is the son of Hilda and the late James Petre. Beloved husband to Lisa Petre of 27 years. Loving father of Kristen and Rachel Petre. Dear “Poppy” of Carter, Camron and Madelynn. Cherished brother of Louise Selelyo, Virginia Petre and Michael (Celene) Petre. Loving uncle to Reeva and Brittany Selelyo, Timmy (Jess) Petre and Chelsea (Josh) Sanders. He will also be missed by many friends and extended family members.

Jimmy enjoyed the beach, cooking, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. His easy going spirit and great sense of humor will be greatly missed by all. Jimmy’s strongest passion was spending time with his grandkids. He also enjoyed having great conversations with everyone he met. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 and Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery in McMurray.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with the funeral expenses.

I will miss Jimmy more than anyone will ever know. I felt so bad about the situation with him and my dad. He was always like a little brother to me. We never know what God has planned for any of us. I have now lost 2 brothers. RIP Jimmy dearest.
