James R. “Jimbo” Alwine Jr.

James R. (Jimbo) Alwine Jr., 58, of Tarentum, PA, formally of Brackenridge, PA, passed away on May 27, 2026 . Born July 9, 1967, in Natrona Heights, PA he is the son of the late James R . Alwine Sr. and Darlene (Negley). James was also a loving brother to Marcy Alwine (Tammy) of Pittsburgh.

James was a 1985 graduate of Highlands High School.

Jimbo found joy in collecting antiques, cooking, camping at the family camp, cheering on the Steelers and Pirates, listening to music and taking care of squirrels. He was known for his sense of humor and being a prankster, he loved to make everyone laugh.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Clifford L. Negley and Ruth Wolfe, and paternal grandparents Russell R. Alwine and Gertrude Reed.

Private arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, McMurray, PA.
