James Walter “Jim” Quinn, 53, of Jefferson, (Greene County) PA, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 19, 2026.

Born on December 19, 1972, in Manassas, Virginia, Jim was the beloved son of Sandra Shimo and the late James R. “Richard” Quinn.

He was a drywaller by trade in the construction field.

In addition to his father, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Christian Patrick Quinn; and his grandparents, Betty and Walter Dusha, and Edward and Josie Quinn.

He is survived by his loving mother, Sandra Shimo; his stepfather, John “Mo” Shimo; his fiancée, Amanda Porter; Amanda’s daughter, Haven Porter, who held a special place in his heart; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.

Jim’s quiet presence, unwavering love for the outdoors, and the kindness he shared with those closest to him will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, McMurray, PA.

Sandee and MO, Sooooo shocked and dismayed upon the news from Emily of Jimmy's passing. Quite a shocker today (tues 7/21) as just got the news as mom was in hospital again due to failure of dialysis. They did get it to work yesterday but got home late so didnt make it up there until today. Emily and the kids living with her now. Again, Jimmy was a great guy sorry for your loss. We discussed how long ago with Chris and how old he was. Both so very young but they are back together. Condolences.
