I think they solved all the world problems! we will not be able to give you a hug in person but we will be praying for you. Love each other. Make him proud. He will always be in your hearts.

I am Jan's cousin and I will always remember him as a little boy who woke up in the same position every day. I will also remember playing hide and seek at his house with him and our siblings. He was a sweet little boy who turned out to be a good kind man. My condolences to his family. My thoughts are with you and your family. Anita (Tagge) Mattucci

FIrst met Jan at Center Church. The family acquired an older home in the neighborhood and the very capable Jan worked from the foundation up to enlarge and modernize the home... for his daughters and family. At least two winters when concrete work was slow he patiently worked inside the basement to prepare for a major build over. which happened a couple of years later. The family held special birthday and other celebrations in the Church Dining Room, involving a unique family tablecloth. Jan was a Man and Friend of many. Always helpful when someone asked for suggestions on how to do something. He was a major contributor when the Retired Reserves took a Habitat for Humanity shell near Washington and totally completed the work. JAn, Al Clingan, and Sam Cushey brought knowledge and leadership to this, and the rest of us pitched in to help in details from basement to siding to drywall to roofing shingles. Jan helped our Church with many inside and outside concrete projects. Also helped many Church members and families with the same wonderful helpful attitude. Recall Jan when he was performing with the Church orchestra on special occasions. No surprise that he was so proud of his daughters... clearly the delight of his life. All of us who met Jan, had a chance to work alongside him, will greatly miss Jan Wishing the best for his daughters and other loved ones.
