Janet Elizabeth (Hawk) Hertzog, age 92, of West Newton, PA formerly of Pittsburgh, PA passed away on April 20, 2023.
Beloved wife of the late James E. Hertzog.
She was born on October 5, 1930 in Williamstown, PA.
Loving mother of James Eric (Sherri) Hertzog, Krista Hertzog (Michael) Snider.
Cherished grandmother of Mathew (Kelly) Hertzog, Elizabeth (Tyler) Hertzog, Sam (Amber) Hertzog, Talitha Hertzog, Kristopher (Jennifer) Madison, Jonathan (Samantha) Madison, Jessica Madison (Mark) Didcoct, Raegan Hertzog, Jaime Hubbard (Wes) Burks, and 11 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her daughter Amy Ruth Hertzog (James) Madison, son Kurt Lucas (Lorrie) Hertzog, brother Ray Hawk, sister Arlene Hawk Hall, and grandson Andrew J. Hubbard.
Janet loved to travel and was fond of fashion and jewelry. She devoted her career to teaching youth child development and home economics with her degree from Drexel University. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A private family service is set to be held at Edwards Memorial Cemetery in Belsano, PA.
