Janice Knezevich was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She left this world peacefully on May 3rd.
Janice was predeceased by her spouse, Emil Pete Knezevich. She is survived by her four children: Carrie Knezevich, Colleen Knezevich (William Pentecost), Peter Knezevich (Rebecca Knezevich), Kathleen Knezevich, granddaughter Grace Knezevich, and sister Joanne Hamill.
Janice was born to Joseph and Florence Zolet on March 27, 1941.
After graduating from Verona High School, she attended Robert Morris business school. Janice worked as a secretary at Mellon Bank prior to her full time job raising four children.
Janice loved watching the Food Network, spending time in the kitchen, and creating delicious meals for her family. She also enjoyed trying new restaurants in the Pittsburgh area and while visiting her children in D.C. and Alpharetta, GA. Janice treasured time traveling with her family to Cape May, NJ, Marco Island, FL, Rosemary Beach, FL, Newport, RI, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Paris, France as well as visiting her sister in Medford Lakes, NJ. She was a caring grandmother and cherished watching her granddaughter’s dance recitals and competitions. She belonged to various clubs throughout the years including the Oakmont Garden Club, a local card club, and Monroeville women’s bowling league. Janice’s adventuresome spirit, kindness, and compassion will be forever missed.
No funeral service is planned. In lieu of flowers, please visit one of your favorite local restaurants and have a toast to Janice.
