Joan C. “Jo” Burtner

Joan C. “Jo” (Schultz) Burtner left this earth on her next great adventure on June 26, 2018 after her long battle with C.O.P.D.  Joan’s life philosophy was, “Life isn’t about the breaths we take, but about the moments that take our breath away.”

Joan was born April 23, 1943, the daughter of the late Emil Otto, Sr. and Mary (Rock) Schultz.  Jo leaves behind her children Daniel Burtner, Jr. (Carol), Dawn (Jeff) Cook, Deneen Burtner, Deanna (Ronald) Ogrodny, Devin Burtner,  Darla Cross; her grandchildren, Adam Chinchic, Kayla Burtner-Manfull (Corey), Anna Chinchic, Chance Ogrodny, Hunter Cross, Jakob Cross; her great grandson Burton Manfull; her brothers and sisters, Maryann Fabian, Emil Schultz Jr., Dorothy Ditmer, David Schultz, Dan Schultz, Diane Hoehn, Anne Pittman, Alice Bishop and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and beloved friends.  Joan’s love of life, laughter and fun was only surpassed by her love for her family and friends.

A private Celebration of Joan’s Life will be held, and honor of Joan’s memory donations can be made to the Shriners Hospital at donate.lovetotherescue.org.
