Joan E. Morris

Joan E. Morris, age 72, of Peters Township, PA, passed away with her family  by her side on January 16, 2025. Born on July 2, 1952, she is the daughter of the late Regis and Kathryn (Bossert) Gorman.

Beloved wife of 52 years to Brian D. Morris, with whom she built a beautiful family with; Loving mother of Brian H. (Robin) Morris and David (Charlene) Morris; Sister to Bruce Gorman; Grandma to Ryan (Erica) Morris, Rachel Blankenship, Luke Morris, and Max Morris; Great-grandma to Lincoln Morris; Sister in law to Joan Taggart and Kathleen Morris-DeAugustine; Also survived by nieces, Amy Nickerson and Mary Shaffer, and nephews, Justin Morris and Connor DeAugustine.

A proud graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School, Joan was known for her warm heart and devotion to her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother, cherishing every moment with her children and grandchildren.

Joan had a passion for puppeteering, delighting in bringing joy and laughter to others through her creativity. She also found peace in the simple pleasures of life, especially sitting on her porch, watching the hummingbirds that she loved so much. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and love her.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 23, 2025, 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA, 15317. A memorial will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 11a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11am at Forest Lawn Gardens.
