Joanne Kobosky, age 54 of Castle Shannon, passed away suddenly on June 10, 2022.

Loving daughter to Lucille Kobosky and the late Robert A. Kobosky.  Dear sister to MaryAnn (Darrell) Gray, Dianne (Albert) Metro, Luann Quigley and Robin (David) Keefe. Also, survived by many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Joanne was a lifelong Castle Shannon resident who loved three things: her family, her job and the Pittsburgh Penguins.  Joanne had many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly, but her great nieces and nephews were the center of her world.  She loved showing pictures of them to her friends, taking pictures at their birthday parties and spoiling them with gifts. Joanne worked as an Accountant for BallyMoney in Pittsburgh. Her co-workers were her extended family, and she loved them dearly.  Finally, those who knew Joanne knew she loved the Pittsburgh Penguins.  She has been a season ticket holder for the last 34 years.  From autographs, pictures, parades, games and personal player friends, Joanne’s heart belonged to those Penguins. On Friday, June 10th, the Pittsburgh Penguins lost their biggest fan!

Friends will be received on Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 2-4 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317.  Please join us in honoring Joanne by wearing Black and Gold/Penguin attire.

Memorial contributions in Joanne’s name may be made to the Mario Lemieux Foundation, Two Chatham Center, Suite 1661, 112 Washington Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15219www.mariolemieux.org or to the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation www.pittsburghpenguinsfoundation.org.

Joanne, I am not sure when this is going to feel real that you are gone, but everyday I wake up and hope this was just a bad dream. I am going to miss our concerts, picnics, holidays and text messages. I loved when you would send my baby pics of my kids out of the blue. Going to miss laughing about thick the wrapping paper you used was, how you always had to sit on the end of the table because your a lefty, how you hated summer and how your favorite season of year was hockey season. Natalie and Nathan will miss their aunt Jo-Jo. Please watch over them from heaven. I hope heaven has a nice set up for you to watch YOUR Pens! Love you and miss you Jo-Jo… Allison

Joanne, I can't believe you left us, my heart is broken but I have such special memories. Growing up and being 16 years older, people thought you we're my little girl , I would say no she's my little sister. All the fun at Pirate, Steeler and if course those Penguin games. I was lucky enough to have been with you at the last Pen's game that you saw! The best memory was when we made 85 trips at night walking past 7 house to you're new house. The house you loved! Your journey on earth is over and I know you and Dad are looking down on all of us. You are at peace,I love you "little" sister and will miss you, Love, DeDe
