Joaquin “George” Lourimore, age 80, of Robinson Township, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 after a 27 year battle with ALS. Born on October 25, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late George and Theresa Lourimore. George is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Loretta Lourimore; his loving children George (Rita) Lourimore and Lisa (John) Kletz; his cherished grandchildren Harley, Mikhala , Julian, Trent, and Marissa, who affectionately called him “Shoopy”; and his sister the late Rosemarie McClain.

A proud Vietnam Veteran, George returned home to marry the love of his life Loretta and raise their family in Robinson Township. Known for his sense of humor, and love of making others laugh, George enjoyed golf, betting on horse races, trips to Vegas, and savoring Loretta’s delicious baking.

George took immense pride in his grandchildren and their achievements. He will be deeply missed by his family.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 4:00-7:00pm followed by a 7:00pm Blessing Service at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to ALS Association 416 Lincoln Ave. Millvale, PA 15209. http://Als.org
