John “Butch” Thomas Malachow Jr., 60, of Washington, Pennsylvania, passed away on July 4, 2026.
Born on August 17, 1965, he was the son of the late John and Barbara Malachow.
Butch was the loving father of Elizabeth (Phil) Ellerbrock, Michel (Jason) Lewicki, Meagan (Ezra) Barkley, Shane Malachow, Jeremy Malachow, Gina Malachow, and Jacob Malachow. He was the cherished grandfather of Wyatt Barkley and Mason Lewicki. He is also survived by his sister, Dana Malachow, and was preceded in death by his sisters, Jody Valentine and Debbie Malachow.
Butch enjoyed playing pool, cheering on the Pittsburgh Penguins, and traveling with his fiancée, Bethany. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the many memories shared with those closest to him.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Close friends and family will be notified of the arrangements.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, McMurray, PA.
