John F. Slade

John F. Slade, 63, of Pittsburgh, PA, went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2026.

Born on July 23, 1962, he was the beloved son of Barbara Slade and the late Leonard G. Slade.

John was a devoted and caring man whose life was defined by loyalty, love, and service to others. For 36 years, he worked faithfully as a caretaker, dedicating himself to helping those in need with patience and compassion. His steady presence and dependable nature made a lasting impact on many lives.

A true Pittsburgh Steelers fan, John loved going to the games and cheering on his team. Whether in the stands or watching from home, he proudly supported the black and gold. He also treasured the simple joys in life — spending time fishing, relaxing with family, and sharing laughter with his best friend, Gerry. Their friendship was one he deeply valued.

Family meant everything to John. He is the beloved brother of Leonard G. Slade, Jr. (Natalie), Michael Anthony Slade, Cheley Jones (Michael), Darnell Slade, Mae Denise Slade, Linda Slade, and Reginald Slade. He also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews who will remember his kindness and quiet strength.

John was preceded in death by his father, Leonard G. Slade; his brother, Terry Slade; and his aunt, Dolores Smith.

Private arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, Robinson Township, PA.
