John Jay Miller, age 82, of North Strabane, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, May 11, 2022.

He was preceded  in death by his parents, John and Gladys Miller and his wife Eleanora Miller.

Beloved husband of 25 years to Phyllis Miller ; loving father of John “Bunky” Miller, Holly (David) Walker, Darrin “D.J.” (Carol) Miller, Linda (Stephen) French, and  Harry (April) Edkins III; cherished grandfather of Jesse (Meghan) Walker, Shannon (Chris) George, Chase (Allie) Walker, Stephanie Miller, Dylan Miller, Sierra French, Noah French, Logan Edkins, and Riley Edkins; great grandfather of Christopher, Skylar, Finn, Mollie, and Graham; brother of William (Lynn) Miller; also survived by nieces, nephews and his beloved, faithful dog Ted E. Bear.

John was a drummer and played in The Chordells.  Him and his wife, Phyllis belonged to the Washington Cruisers Car Club and had many antique cars.  He loved his Honda Gold Wing Trike.  Being very spiritual, he was active in Holy Rosary Church.  Often, during the summer you could find John riding his golf cart, camping at Plantation Park in Mercer.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, he will be deeply missed by all.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
