After a Hell of a Ride spanning 93 years John “Yogi” Latsko passed away on October 2, 2021. His wanderlust began when he joined the Army at 18 and was stationed in Japan during the occupation. Over the years, he went on to visit 5 continents and over 30 countries. His business advice was simple, “Return every phone call.” It served him well as he achieved year-after-year of “Top 10 Producer” Awards at American General. John met the love of his life, Barbara aka “Hon”, at a wedding reception at the Lithuanian Hall, where he was a “Wedding Crasher.” Their 5 year courtship led to marriage, 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. They celebrated their 68th Wedding Anniversary in September, and lived independently, always surrounded by friends and family.

John is survived by his wife Barbara Belsterling Latsko, his children; Linda (Robert Hertzka) Lockhart, Debra McDonnell, Laurel (James) Cogley, John Latsko, and Dana (William) Lang. He was preceded in death by his 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 2 PM – 4 PM and 6 PM – 8 PM and Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 1 PM – 4 PM at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.
