Joseph (Joe) G. Cholak, aged 82, of McMurray, PA, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024 at Genesis Healthcare in Bridgeville. He was born on January 8, 1942, to the late Joseph Cholak and Blanche Messock Cholak, in Meadowlands, PA. He was the beloved husband of Cindy Cholak.

Joe was a loving father to Greg (Karen) Cholak and brother of Dennis (the late Judy) Cholak. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Known for his adventurous spirit, Joseph found great joy in traveling, especially to the Caribbean and Las Vegas. He cherished the moments spent on the golf course with his buddies, and best friend Brad (Debbie) Naddeo, sharing laughter and camaraderie.

Joe graduated from Chartiers Houston High School in 1959. From there he served in the Army National Guard and achieved the rank of sergeant. For the majority of his career, Joe worked at Washington Steel as a crane operator. He was a member of the Houston American Legion Post 902 and the McMurray VFW Post 764.

Joe will be remembered fondly for his kind heart, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for his family. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, McMurray, PA. A Memorial Service to honor Joe’s life will be held at a later date, allowing friends and family to come together and celebrate the memories they shared with him.
