Joseph H. Malek III

Joseph H. Malek II, age 68 of North Strabane Township, PA  passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn Tohey Malek, wonderful father of Joseph (Jacqueline) Malek, brother of Eugene (Mary Beth) Malek, brother-in-law of Kathleen Kalish, son-in-law of Mildred Tohey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nephews.

He served his country in Combat Operations in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1970 in the 1st Calvary, 61st Air Assault Group as a Helicopter pilot earning two distinguished Flying Crosses, a Bronze Star and many other medals.

Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 2 PM – 8 PM at Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546. A service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens in McMurray, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 764 in McMurray, PA.
