Joseph P. Schmalzried, age 88 of Finleyville, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 24, 2020.
He was the beloved husband of 38 years to Linda Schmalzried; loving father of Lori A. (Chuck) Kimball, Joseph J. Schmalzried, Jay T. (The late Vickie) Schmalzried and Christopher Schmalzried; cherished grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; dear brother of Paul Schmalzried, John Schmalzried and the late Lillian Weber; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He loved spending time with his wife and family and enjoyed fishing He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are welcome, Monday, December 28, 2020 from 2-8 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. Due to Covid restrictions, a Mass of Christian Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at stjude.org.
