To all those who loved and cared for Joe, please accept my sincere condolences. I went to school with Joe, and as teenagers started a band with him that found fame appearing on a WQED show called "The Place" but the fame was mostly in our own minds. Joe was a great drummer and took his music seriously, but we always kept it loose and fun. WE HAD A BLAST! I'll always think fondly of Joe when I reflect on our times together. RIP Joe. May your grieve pass quickly and your memories last forever.

Joe was my grade school basketball coach at St George's. He was always supportive and positive with me as a player. He put a lot of time and effort and pride into that job and it showed. He later coached both of my brothers, and we loved to trade "Mr. Neiport stories" which always led a lot of smiles and laughter among us all. I lost touch with him over the years, but just recently reconnected on Facebook. He remembered me, and we had good chats about old times. I didn't know he was ill, but I am glad that I got the opportunity to let him know that he was a positive influence on me when I was growing up. My condolences to Joey, Chris, and Lauren.

Went to St. George with his kids. Mr. Neiport was definitely one of the memories I have from there! I can still picture him on Saturdays at Schramm hall in his blue and gold St. George jacket! :) Sending sympathy and prayers to his family.

My sincere condolences to the Neiport family. Joe and I were best friends thru high school and played in several bands together. We had a great time in those years. In the late 70's I moved on from Pittsburgh and we lost contact. Fortunately, we reconnected several years ago and spent evening together jamming and catching up on lost years. I will sorely miss him and loved him like a brother. Rest in peace and without anymore pain, my brother.
