Joseph W. Simon

  • On August 8, 2022

Joseph W. Simon, 33, of Pittsburgh, passed away on August 2, 2022 . He was born on November 26, 1988 in Quelepa, El Salvador and is the son of the late James Simon and Anna Belan-Simon. Joe was a beloved son, brother, fiancé, friend and most importantly father to Saint-Leonidas Simon.

He was a family man in every essence of the word. Family gatherings and cookouts were his favorite. He was a food connoisseur and enjoyed going to new and different restaurants with his fiancé and son. He was a wonderful brother to Mario Simon and they bonded through their love of video games, and through the loss of both of their parents became closer. He was smart, extremely talented, and could adapt quickly to changes and take charge. He had many hobbies and if he wasn’t too busy he would relax and watch one of his favorite movies or play video games.

The loss of his father in 2020 changed him and made him more determined to be the best version of himself. That is why this year was so personal for him. He finally had a business of his own and employees that he helped and took care of. He was loved and will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Simon and Anna Belan-Simon. He is survived by his son Saint-Leonidas Simon, his brother Mario Simon, his fiancé Ndiyah Blair and her family who he embraced as his own, and his friends that loved him and continue to keep his memory alive.

Friends are welcome to gather on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 4-8 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136. (412) 787-1800, where a memorial service will be held on Friday, the 12th at 10 am.
