Josiah James Emery, age 13, of Punxsutawney, PA passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 13, 2022. Born in Harrisburg, PA on November 10, 2008, he was the loving son of John and Ricki Emery; cherish brother of Alixandra Eichelberger, Elizabeth Emery, and Christine Vega; uncle of Ella Grace; grandson of Donald and Bonnie Emery and Josephine Jones; nephew of Ginny (Lance) Pangborn, Robert (Marlene) Emery, Larry Emery, R. Michael Jones; also survived by many cousins.
Josiah told his mother recently that “when you have a deep inside heart hurt, the only way to heal that hurt is with a Jesus bandaid.” Josiah loved Jesus. He is dancing on the streets of gold in heaven with his pappy Freddy.
Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 5:00pm at First Church of God 23 Skyview Dive Punxsutawney, PA 15767. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Josiah Emery Memorial Fund S&T Bank 232 Hampton Avenue Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
