Judith “Judy” Martys, age 78, of Robinson Township, formerly of Finleyville, passed away peacefully on September 29th,  surrounded by her loved ones. Born on March 10, 1946, in Weston, WV, she was the cherished daughter of  Charles Crayton and the late Cora Crayton.

Judy was the beloved wife of Joseph “Tom” Martys for 55 wonderful years. Together, they built a loving family, and she leaves behind her devoted children, Christopher Martys and Bethany (John “Yogi” Ward) Martys. Judy was also a beloved sister to Richard “Scotty” (Joyce) Crayton and Jack (Marian) Crayton, and she is survived by many nieces and great-nieces who adored her.

A kind, loving, and gentle soul, Judy had an innate ability to connect with others, making friends wherever she went. Her warmth and laughter brightened the lives of everyone around her. An avid reader with a passion for the sun and the sea, she found joy in the beaches of Anna Maria Island, where she spent many happy days.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Judy’s life on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, located at 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Archangel Gabriel Parish (Holy Trinity Church), 5718 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136.

Arrangements entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, Robinson Township.

Oh my dearest Judy...it's so hard to imagine life without you. From the moment we first met, through the other times we were blessed to be together (in L.A. and in Pittsburgh). you were such a HUGE part of my heart. We always, always spent so much time laughing!!! And when I see you again, we will pick right back up where we left off. I know we will be with our loved ones who have gone before us. We were both so proud to be Craytons! My darling girl, I love you so much...I always will. You were one of the brightest lights in my life. I'll see you again, and we will never again be apart. I will always hear your voice in my memory. Farewell, darling...

There are truly no words to sum up how much you meant to all of us. Our hearts are broken. You are the one who held our family together. As Nina said so beautifully, you always made sure we were taken care and were like a second mom to us. We are so grateful and blessed to have shared our special day together for the last 30+ years. I only remember missing 1 or 2 birthdays together, and we were so blessed to have it so special this year. I thank you for our never ending laughs together, especially during our trips to Bradenton. We always got a big kick out of when you would send us your fudge or cream wafers as gifts for Christmas and graduation. We could always talk to you about anything. We love you so much Aunt Judy, and will cherish every memory, birthday and Florida trip until we meet again. Our forever birthday buddy. May God grant you eternal rest with Grandma Cora and Marley.

May beloved Judy rest in God's perfect peace. Love and heartfelt sympathy to her dear family. Thinking of you all during this sorrowful time. It was a blessing to know Judy for these many years. We first met at Montour High School when she came to work there as a Nurse....as a teacher there, I saw her every day during that year and our friendship remained. Peace, Love and Light. Love, (Frau) Charla and Paul Rots, Summerfield, Florida
