Judy Ann DeMarino, age 81, of Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania, formerly of Greensburg, passed away suddenly on May 18, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of the late Benjamin J. Policastro, Sr. and Helen J. Policastro.
Judy was a woman whose warmth, strength, and joyful spirit touched everyone who knew her. A devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, she centered her life around family and the people she loved most.
Judy worked as an office manager at Age Craft Manufacturing and later joined Scott Electric as an inside sales representative. She was a proud member of the Women’s Club of Elizabeth and found great fulfillment and joy working as a para-professional at Gill Hall Elementary School, where her kindness and caring nature made a lasting impact on countless children and coworkers. Judy was a courageous breast cancer survivor who proudly participated in fundraising walks alongside her husband and children, inspiring those around her with her strength, determination, and unwavering spirit.
Judy embraced life fully and found happiness in the simple pleasures — feeling the wind in her hair while riding in her convertible Mustang, spending time by the ocean at her favorite place, and creating precious memories with her family. Nothing brought her greater joy than being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she absolutely adored.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Jerome “Jerry” DeMarino Sr., with whom she shared 63 loving years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Kimberly (Larry) Ross, Suzanne (John) Papinchak, Mary Ellen DeMarino, and Jerome DeMarino, Jr. Judy was the dear sister of Benjamin (Joanne) Policastro, Jr. and Gina (Kevin) McGrath, and was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Webb Barton.
She was the proud and devoted grandmother of Anthony Ross, Alyssa (Greg) Snyder, Sean (Donnie) Knee-Papinchak, Jason (Melissa) Papinchak, and Matthew (McKenzie) Papinchak; and loving great-grandmother of Saylor, Luca, Jack, and Sophie.
Friends will gather on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the time of the Blessing Service at 11:00 AM, at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317. Inurnment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park. Luncheon to follow.
Judy will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her loving heart, beautiful smile, strength, and the joy she brought into the lives of all who knew her.
