Though she enjoyed the comfort of home, she cherished time spent with friends, especially her best friend of more than 70 years, Ang. Julie also had a sweet tooth and a special love for desserts. Above all, Julie’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and her beloved dog, Mason.
A celebration of life will take place in Michigan on May 16th with additional details will be announced.

What a beautiful description of an unforgettable woman, my cousin Julie Marie Hamway McElmurry. She was an original, and her laughter and smile and endless memories of our years together are imprinted on my heart. You are with your Vern again.
