Karen A. Powers Swarner, age 32, originally of Bethel Park, passed away tragically with her children, on January 24, 2025.
Born on February 14, 1992, she was the beloved daughter of Paul and Carolyn Powers; loving sister of Michael Powers (Sarah), Brian Powers (Fiancé Hanna); granddaughter of Nancy Feineigle, the late William Feineigle, and Frances Powers.

Karen was a passionate athlete and had a vibrant spirit from a young age. Throughout her high school years, she was a softball player, known for her fierce competitiveness and her ability to bring people together on and off the field.
After high school, Karen went on to graduate from Seton Hill University with a Master’s degree. Her passion for helping others led her to become a Physician Assistant, a role she dedicated herself to wholeheartedly. Working at Jefferson Hospital, Karen found her true calling, delivering babies and bringing new life into the world. Her gentle spirit and unwavering dedication made her a trusted and beloved part of the medical community. To those who worked alongside her, she was known not only for her skill but for the kindness and compassion she brought to every patient she cared for. She was often referred to as an “angel”—a reflection of her selfless nature and the love she spread to everyone she encountered.

Karen’s greatest joy in life was being a mother to her children. She was fiercely protective, endlessly supportive, and always willing to go the extra mile for them. Whether it was crafting homemade projects, making a mess in the kitchen, or simply offering a comforting hug after a long day, Karen’s love for her children knew no bounds. In addition to her love for her children, Karen was a devoted companion to her dog, Meekah, with whom she shared many quiet moments and adventures. Meekah, along with her children, were her greatest sources of joy, and she cherished every moment with them. She touched so many lives with her warmth, her work ethic, and her unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. She will forever be remembered as a kind-hearted soul who lived to give, a loving mother who never stopped caring, and an angel who will be deeply missed.
