Karen Ann Mazzie passed away on April 28,2023 at the age of 61 after a strong, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by her family until her very last breath.

She was born on May 28, 1961 in Washington, PA to the late Donald D and Peggy (Gelestor) Mazzie.

Karen was a 1979 graduate of Trinity High School. She later went on to attend Median School of Allied Health Careers and received her associates degree in dental assisting. She worked for over 30 years as a dental assistant until her early retirement in July 2022.

Her greatest blessing in life was being a mom to her three daughters until she became a Nona to her four grandsons. She cherished all the memories and moments she got to spend watching sporting events, school concerts, graduations, and planning her youngest daughter’s wedding.

Her fondest memories were family beach vacations to Clearwater, FL, spending weekends away at Conneaut Lake Park and summer getaways to her camp at Big Bear Lake.

She is survived by Ronald Richmond, who she spent the last 36 wonderful years with.
Also surviving are her three daughters Rachel Powell (Nate), Cassie Richmond (Jacob), Laurel Jenkins (Larry), four grandsons Robert III, Mason, Julius, Larry IV and bonus granddaughter Lilly. Her brother Louis Mazzie (Nora) and nephew Tyler Mazzie and his two children Bryleigh and Waylon.

Due to her request there will be no viewing services. There will be a Celebration of Life to be announced at a further date.
