Karen Jean Ramsey, 73, of Washington, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026.
Born on December 20, 1952, she was the beloved daughter of the late Howard and Inez Beckenger.
Karen was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt whose greatest joy in life was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Gretchen (Eric) Stein and Meghan (BJ) Miller. She was a proud and caring grandmother to Joshua, Travis, Dylan (Kylie) Fuller, Kaylee Stein, and Nathan and Logan Miller, and a cherished great-grandmother to Peyton and Reese Fuller. She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Jett Fuller, whose memory she carried close to her heart.
Karen is also survived by her sister, Barbara Lee Lacock, widow of the late Rick Lacock, and by her nephew Brian Lacock and his children, Luke and Leah.
Karen found joy in life’s simple pleasures and in cheering on the teams she loved. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and rarely missed the excitement of a NASCAR race. One of her favorite pastimes was riding along on her brother-in-law Rick’s motorcycle, enjoying the open road and the freedom it brought.
Above all, Karen will be remembered for her love of family, her warm spirit, and the many memories she created with those she held dear. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Private arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, McMurray, Pennsylvania.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in memory of Jett Fuller, or to the Cystinosis Research Foundation in honor of Nathan Miller at https://www.cystinosisresearch.org.
