Obituary for Kathleen T. Foley, February 5, 1944 – November 13, 2019

It is with great sorrow that we announce that Kathleen T. Foley, 75, of Upper St. Clair, passed away on November 13, 2019 after succumbing to her struggles with autoimmune hepatitis.  She is the daughter of Theodore and Rose Taylor (deceased), and is survived by her husband Dave, her sons David (Jennifer), Christopher, and Patrick (Courtney), her two grandchildren, Luke and Adelynn, and her sister Nancy Oberholzer of Rochester, NY.  Kathy started her life as a pre-school and elementary school teacher before dedicating herself to raising her family and supporting her loved ones.  She was a person of great reverence, thoughtfulness, and creativity.  She pursued her passions of sewing, painting, and art and used those passions to enrich the lives of her family, friends, and others.  Later in life, she enjoyed travels to Alaska while working as a children’s librarian at the Upper St. Clair Library and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She donated her body to medicine in the hope that further efforts could be made towards understanding autoimmune hepatitis.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Liver Foundation.  A private memorial service will be held at St. Louise de Marillac Church in Upper St. Clair.
