Kathy Jean Kovaly Kirby, age 71 of Bethel Park, PA passed away surrounded by family on March 24, 2021. Born on April 23, 1949, she was the daughter of Rebecca Kovaly and the late Andrew Kovaly. Beloved wife to the late James D. Kirby. Loving mother to Jennifer (Donald) Scherbick, Andrew Kirby, and Sarah Kelly. Cherished grandmother to Andrew, Ryan, Connor, and Alaina Scherbick, Ashlyn and Alivia Kirby and Jacob, Caden, and Makayla Kelly. Loving best friend and identical twin to Karen (Les) Kania. Loving sister to Jerry Kovaly and Russell (Lynn) Kovaly.
Kathy loved to bake and was known by her grandkids as “Cookie Grandma.” She will be remembered for her strength and ability to keep laughing through difficult times. Kathy will be dearly missed by all.
