Kenneth “David”. Skidmore, 70, of Canonsburg, PA passed away on November 11, 2025. Born on July 1, 1955 in Philipp WV, he is the son of the late Paul and Mary Lou Skidmore.
Beloved husband to Suzanne Gravlin Skidmore; Loving father to David “Brett” Skidmore and Gabrielle “Abby” Skidmore; Brother to Paul “Michael” Skidmore, Kathi Skidmore McBee, and Jon “Christopher” Skidmore; He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Kenneth spent his early years in Las Vegas before returning to West Virginia, where he graduated from West Virginia University. He later made his way back west to Laughlin, Nevada, where he met the love of his life, Suzanne (Gravlin) Skidmore. The two married and moved to Pittsburgh in 1989, where they raised their beloved children, Brett and Abby Skidmore.
Kenneth worked as an agent for Mutual of Omaha, where he consistently qualified as a leader, always putting the best interests of his clients first. In 2009, he achieved a lifelong dream when he earned a coveted seat at the World Series of Poker.
Dedicated to his community, Kenneth volunteered his time coaching Little Hoopers basketball in South Fayette, first with the boys’ teams and later the girls’, sharing his love of sports and mentorship with countless young players. A proud fan of Pittsburgh and WVU teams, he never missed a chance to cheer them on.
Kenneth had an adventurous spirit and a lifelong love of travel, exploring many countries, most U.S. states, and countless road trips with his family. He cherished history, found beauty in the world around him, and passed that appreciation on to his children.
He loved music, movies, telling stories, and making others laugh. Kenneth will be remembered for his humor, warmth, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Halcyon Senior Living and Bethany Hospice for their compassion and care.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday November 22, 2025 at 1pm-5pm at the Meadowbrook Clubhouse, 1082 Meadowbrook Drive, Canonsburg, PA, 15317. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kenneth’s name to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, Literacy Pittsburgh, and South Hills Interfaith Movement,
